Plastic surgery was a normal procedure in Lauren Christian’s family growing up. Her sisters and aunts all pursued surgical improvements and augmentations through the years so it was natural for her to believe if she ever wanted or needed it, the go-ahead decision would be an easy one. After she finished nursing her children, then, she opted for breast implants to “return to her pre-baby body.” She loved her results and never questioned her decision. Ten years later, though, Lauren began to break out in consistent and chronic skin problems and was “living on prednisone” when a friend suggested the problem may stem from her implants. Today, she’s still seeing steady improvement every day after she began her explant journey.
